I'm a late-40s married guy who used to be a professional musician (cover bands and a lot of driving). Clawed my way up from singing drummer to budding songwriter during a stint in Atlanta ('80-'89). Quit music cold turkey in '89, turkey back in oven by '96.

I was a boy in the Sixties, saw the Beatles live on Ed Sullivan, so I'm fairly pleased to have been born so long ago. Now I'm happy to be an art director here in my hometown in Indiana, USA.

The point of this website is to make my music available to the few who happen by. Far-flung friends and family can check it out. Critics and strangers, too. Stardom, publishing deals and the like would be lovely, but aren't expected. I just wanna get this kit car out of the garage, and anyone can take a spin with me.

Some of my recordings are home-brew while others are concocted at Soundchasm Studio. Greg Bell, my best friend since 3rd grade and long-time bandmate, collaborates w/ me, plays guitar & bass, sings, engineers & produces. That's Greg at 13 on the right; me at 13 on the left.

Thank yous: Greg for mentorship, guidance, and being the musical bodhisattva; Mrs. Volume for her love, patience and inspiration; SushiFugu for tech support and laughter; Mama Volume for her talent and cheerleading; sis and bro for being so lovable; Grandma King for the Beatles; dear daughter for being my secret motivation.

Thank YOU. -Slim
